Are there such a thing as a lockable rackscrew?
I want to make it harder for some lowlifes to steal my rackmounted stuff. The rackcase can easely be locked with a wire to a bolt in the wall at our rehersalspace but then it is easy to just unscrew the stuff inside the case. What to do?

I thought along this line for a while, and I purchased a box of pin in head torx screws from McMaster Carr, along with the matching driver. The thing is, they didn't come in a "conventional" pan type screw head, only in a 45 degree flat top, so I had to buy the special nylon washers to go with. I did work, sorta, but the widening part of the screw stuck out too much from the back of the washer, and marred the faceplate of the components, so I quit using them.

If you can find a pan-head tamper-proof Torx bolt, then good luck to ya.

...I wonder where those links go...

    Edit:

Well there you go. Maybe I could pick up some!
