OK, this is kind of vague, but here goes... The last time I was in the UK, upon arrival I took the Gatwick Express into the City, and then the Tube to Chiswick to meet up with my wife. We immediately went for lunch with her co-workers. I was very jetlagged. We drove a short distance to the Thames, and ended up in an amazing pub right on the riverbank. The unusual thing (?) about this place is that the roadway floods at high tide, which allows you to get away with taking a long lunch on occasion. Any ideas where this was? I'd like to go back, but it'll be hard without some idea of where it's located.
