I have a 36 " scale length, and was wondering which companies make strings long enough to fit mine. I currently use Overwater strings, but that's not really much choice......1 brand. So if you people have knowledge then spill!!

I use DR Lo-Riders stainless on a 34" scale Jazz bass that is string through body. It's roughly 2" from ball end to bridge saddle and at the headstock end the large part of the string is almost starting to wind around the post. These strings should work...when I tried DR Hi-Beams it was about the same.

Most DR strings should work. They are fairly long.

    • J - Jazz series
      R - Roundwound ("F" for flatwound)
      6 - 36" scale
      4 - 4 string set
    ...JR364, JF364, etc.
  5. I have a Roscoe LG-6. It has a scale of a hair over 35". I use the Elixer soft extra long 5 string set with a DRxl high C. They are plenty long enough and are great strings. They last me 4 months easy. I get them at JUSTSTRINGS.COM. There like 47 bucks and worth every penny. Hope this helps.
