Look at this Fender P-Bass from Japan - is there a website??

    it's not for me..........I've a buddy who wants one and he asked if I could have a shop around (seeing how I bought the last one at the shop)

  6. I just went to the link provided above, and figured out how much it would cost to buy a Fender 1975 J-bass reissue from Japan. With (astronomical, ~$150) shipping, the 1975 J would cost over $600.

    That's certainly not a screaming deal, considering the fact that one can still get an American standard J at blowout prices under $600. . . .

    Look in the Fender website or 2001 catalog under P-bass "Lyte" deluxe.This is a beautiful japanese made bass with a great list of features.Beautiful natural mahogany body[well rounded too],jazz neck,active electronics,p&j pickups,good bridge etc.I've handled one but haven't played it yet.
