He used cruel and unusual torture and made me buy this:
Should be here in a few days! WooHoo!
Very striking top! What is it?
If that is the result of torture, sign me up.
....hey, it was torture you or end up living in a box under an overpass, but having a killer LG-3005!
Trust me, it was not an easy decision!
I've been trying to tell you guys. Gard's a bad egg!
Flame Koa, and it doesn't show up very well in the pics...groove, wait until you open the case!
What are the fingerboard woods?
Get it right: I'm a rotten egg, not a bad one!
Bolivian rosewood, with some of the sap/heartwood in it as well, that's the lighter color.
This thing is beautiful, not in a screaming "look at me" kind of way, but in a subtle "I wanna grow old looking at her" kind of way.
You had better have cleaned off all that Gard Hey did that Box Elder Burl one come in yet?
man that is sweet.. Damn Gard and his good salesmanship...
That one's PURTY!! Is that the same piece used for the fingerboard as well as the headstock overlay?
No the lighting makes it look that way. It's a Koa overlay on the headstock.
That's a really hot bass, one of the nicest pieces of Koa I've seen.
3 days and counting......
Come on Weds!!!

Rock on Grooveguru! You done good Low end monster (that Gard, mean arm twister...). Keep me posted on the arrival.
Adrian, I know what you mean. I was able to get the bass shipped a week earlier than planned though. At least I'll feel better tomorrow when I get the tracking number and can check up on her. Busy gig weekend this week so she'll get a good workout.
onne of the deepest pains and anguish i have ever felt is waititng for a bass to arrive- i could probably buy a whol e new bass with the money ive spent overnighting! i have always said i was an instant gratification kinda guy!
