I'd say it's been pretty sweet. How was yours?

  2. Highpoint: Birth of my second child.
Low point: Hurricane Katrina and the crap that came with it.

I can't wait for 2005 to go away.

My mom was very sick for half of it.

my sister had a very premature baby (1.25 pounds) that spent 9 months in intensive care.

    My dog died.

After 3.5 years my girlfriend and I split up.

The lead singer in my band retired after 5 years with us.

    The good:

    Met my new girlfriend
Got the best job in the universe
Moved to a really cool city that I fall more in love with each day

    The bad:

    My mom died
Hurricane Katrina destroyed both my father's and sister's houses

It's a wash, there was more "good" than "bad", but the "bad" was REAL BAD...:(

    I got married in October.
Visited Maine (Portland and surrounding areas) twice this year. I love that area.

    Damon signed with the Yankees.

I can't complain about 2005. It has been really good.

  12. 2006 is going to make 2005 look like 2003.
  13. Hmm...2005.

Graduated high school, worked at a restaurant, parents got divorced, worked at Servpro, discovered weed, unemployed, got a bass clef tattoo, got a job at stop and shop, discovered drinking, living by my weekly paycheck.

I think that about sums up what I can remember.

I earned a 4.0 in all my college classes.
Went to the Arlington guitar show
I had a REALLY good chicken salad sandwich.

    Everything else.
This year has been my worst. Mostly due to my work schedule and how Katrina affected my family.

Bad: My work suffered as I was the GC for "the addition" and sold very little.
The Lions still haven't hit bottom. I was sick for about 6 weeks.

    The year 2005:

    The Good:
Went to Liverpool, England to watch Liverpool play :hyper:
(Liverpool then went on to win the Champions League!)
Went to Las Vegas in June for 10 days
Went to Barcelona, Spain for 5 days in August
My brother and his wife had their second child in september

    The Bad:
My uncle died of a heart attack in October
    Still single

Otherwise the year was pretty bland....
  18. can't say I can complain. didnt quite work out how I had planned. had my few ups and downs and a lot of alcohol abuse, but now... I think I'm doing OK.
    Looking back:

Played 50 gigs or so. Some good, some mince. It's been good fun all the way.
Got my Trace stack sorted out- I'm *fairly* GAS free.
I love my dog. I don't know how I would've gotten through without him.
Met a lot of cool people. Learned alot about being a manager.
Got a pretty good physique going on due to my slavery work during the summer.
    Discovered some great bands.

Missed out on playing a huge show that would've actually meant something becuase my band was selfish. x2.
Discovering ideal university courses when too late to change my high school courses to make it into university.
Screwed up a few relationships which resulted in some bad depression. Swore It'd never happend again.. and now it looks like it could.
Feeling like an ass for feeling down when I'm pretty insignificant compared to other people's real problems.
Just generally feeling like something isn't right.

However, all in all... I'm still standing, and have some sort of demented sense of pride for who I am.

Best of luck for 2006.
  19. 2005 sucked. I'm looking forward to 2006.

My condolences to those who had a suckier 2005.

How'd that happen?! *moves to very-northern Europe*
