ive been looking all over the net and i cant find a 5-string bass with 19mm string spacing at the bridge that doesnt cost an arm and a leg! does anyone know of any? I cant just buy a 5string and change the bridge bc the strings will be too clost to the edge of the fret board :meh:

Ibanez BTB405? I think it's about 600US on musiciansfriend.com, but I got mine for 700 Canadian and MF might give you free shipping. They do have 19mm string spacing, if I'm not mistaken (feels rather wide to me)

I believe the Epiphone EB3-5 has 19mm spacing. I saw them at MF recently for $299.
  6. Try a Yamaha BB5Ga or s. They have 19mm spacing and an excellent B string, as well as a great neck.

Does the BBG5S have 19MM spacing? I have one of those, and it seems narrower than that, more like 17mm. i guess I'll have to measure it to be sure.
