I'll clarify a bit. What I'm looking for is what has been some of the absolute best distortion for bass in your experience. Something I can roll back but isn't afraid to go full on and screech. Thanks!

When I said absolute best I was hoping for good and you guys give me "holy crap, holy crap, shut up and take my money"! Seriously though, both of those look to be incredible pedals. Thanks to both of you!

Darkglass B3K if you want to get a little more gritty, Darkglass Vintage Microtubes if you want to get a little more burly.

Just my opinions, but the fuzzrocious rat tail/king for distortion, for overdrive bordering towards dist., the full tone OCD v3, for mild OD the fulltone bass drive, have yet to try the DG VMT(i want to!),but those are the best to me

I swear the man who invents an algorithm plugin for forums that can detect key words in new posts and circumvent those posts by directing people to current posts on the same topic will become a fabulously wealthy man.

The ghost of Alan Turing, I summon thee!

    Also, B3K.

  10. i love these threads because one person will ask for distortion with no real description of what they are after. next comes everything from tube screamers and preamps to big muffs and brassmasters!

I'll add "get a tube amp" then so that's out of the way. :)

    And ... smallsound/bigsound Mini.

Not many deep and rumbly suggestions so far. If you really are looking for distortion with massive subs, check out the ZVex Mastotron or IdiotBox Blower Box.

The Prescription Electronics Depth Charge is a good choice for "deep and rumbly," as well as the Malekko Diabolik.

No problemo hombre. I've been gassing for a B:assmaster for a while I just haven't had a justifiable reason to have one

  15. Yup, what he said. Or, a ss/bs TAFM. Or, a ss/bs Buzzz. One of those three, depending upon what flavour is best to your liking.

Nooo it's not directed at you personally, just in general, it's the way all forums work haha

  19. I should note that the XXL Bass Edition can rumble, but also be extreme too, with the right settings.
