Looking for a good tab site

Discussion in 'Tablature and Notation [BG]' started by LegendInMyMind, Dec 30, 2012.

  1. Hello Everyone -

I have been hunting for a good web site and or software package that will allow me to play along to the music track while reading the bass line tablature.. So far anything I find has a very tinny almost comical sound for the playback track...

Is there a recommendation anyone can give for a really good application?? I do not mind spending money for it if it is worthwhile.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions..

Most sites like that use Midi files to play the song, so it sounds tinny as you say. It's just the nature of the beast.

Songsterr is pretty good. Most of their TABs are fairly accurate and the Midi playback is good. You can even solo some instruments and mute others.

Or you could try searching YouTube for some playalongs of a partciular song.
  3. Thanks Dean.. Songsterr seems to be the ticket.. Playback is actually very good and as you said - the TAB's seem to be good as well.. Thanks for the advice !!
