HI everyone!
I was wondering if there is anyone in the area performing luthier work? I have a bass I'd like to get checked out for a variety of reasons:
The screw for saddle adjustment is as far front as it goes and intonation is a little wonky.
I used a strobe tuner to set intonation which checks out spot on for the first 12 frets. As I go beyond it, the notes tend to have the fluctuation you hear as if I was performing an octave double stop with one string SLIGHTLY out. This is the only bass I've set up that I can't get the intonation to settle in.
I have tried new strings, a different gauge direct from the builder, bridge height and intonation adjustment, truss rod adjustment, waved crystals over it, smudged some sage and prayed to the bass gods, etc. and I just can't get it resolved. I'm thinking its a job for someone who actually knows what they're doin!
Thanks!
