I've played through both the 2x10 and 1x15 Bassman combos and think they're pretty good.

 

I know you said 2x10. But you may want to consider the Avatar B212. I recently bought this along with Hartke HA3500 head. I spent less the $700 and am very happy thus far...

If you can find yourself a decent head and cab you will be much more happier with it than a combo.

 

I had 2 different Fender Bassman 2x10 amps & they both created such a problem - I opted to just skip the combo phase & go straight to a head/cab rig. I got a Kustom Groove Bass 1200 head "B" stock for $390 & picked up an Avatar 2x10 Kappa Pro.... after I paid that & saved a lil more, I got an Avatar 2x12 Delta. Now I have a Peavey Classic 400... go check out www.avatarspeakers.com -- Dave is great to work with & you will find a deal with him. For the money -- you just can't beat Avatar cabs. Plus you can several heads from them at a very, very good price.

 

Check out some of the Eden Nemesis line... the 210 is quite nice.
