looking for a string store

Discussion in 'Strings [BG]' started by danharris, Apr 5, 2015.

  1. e bay and amazon are not cutting it. i need a 6 set of elixers, a 4 set of flats and maybe a 6 set of tapes...if they exist. I would like to buy them all at one place (for a decent price). I have heard of web store that lets a guy pick custom gauge sets but i can't find it or remember the name anymore.

    someone give me some links please.

    lots of basses but no strings ;(

    Circle K Strings might be the place you were thinking of that offers the custom gauges.

    Otherwise, JustStrings.com has every string you mentioned and then much more....

  5. bassstringsonline.com is owned by a TB member, offers free standard shipping on orders over $25, frequently have hard-to-find sets and gauges, lots of discounted strings.

    No, I don't work there.

    Circle K strings are good, but they don't offer flats

    Don't forget the VIP pricing available to forum readers (no paying membership required) at BassStringsOnline.com .

    Custom gauges of flats? Yes we have them available from D'Addario, GHS, La Bella, Rotosound. The other flat manufacturers don't really offer more than one gauge set.

    Custom gauges of tapes? You can mix and match the two sets from La Bella but the sets as is are pretty great. We do offer singles for all the tape brands though if you wanted.

    If you need something you don't see on the site just shoot me a PM or email.

    The only place you will ever need to buy strings from and the service is nothing short of stellar.

    Yeah, bassstringsonline.com. Great outfit for quite some time, though I don't buy from them much anymore (see avatar).

  12. Another redundant post... I started using BSO (bass strings online) several years ago and haven't bought strings anywhere since. Jason (owner and TB'er) is a great guy who is very accommodating. I've talked to him personally a few times and he's always been helpful.

    Individual TI Jazz flats to fit my Dingwall six string? Single C strings?
    Single B's?

    No problem at BSO.com.

    And the site remembers all your previous orders for easy reorder!

    Somebody mentioned Juststrings. I ordered from them a lot back in the 90's when there were not a lot of places to order strings. Times change! Here's why I now order from BSO:

    I'll just leave these here. This is everything the OP had listed.
    Juststrings = $153
    Bassstringsonline.com = $115
    Same strings, almost $40 cheaper from BSO.

  19. Yep, everyone who mentioned bassstringsonline.com has a good point.

    I order through Jason. I don't use the discount (probably should), but his prices and service just can't be beat.
