Hey guys, I'm a rather new with pick plying...I'm looking at learning more about that. I'm basically looking for something that will provide a good variety of styles to develop speed and accuracy with it.
Each style has appropiate ways for pick playing, any advices please..

    Thanks very much,

Some bassist I will check out are Dave Ellefson, Adam Clayton, Zeta Bosio, Flea, Tom Hamilton, John Deacon, Justin Chancelor, Cliff Williams. Any challenging bass lines to learn??

  3. Spend some time with Carol Kaye http://www.carolkaye.com/

She is an ole school pick player. Her 100 tips will probably have a few words of wisdom on how to use a pick. http://carolkaye.com/www/education/tips1.htm

I tried a plectrum right at first - 3.0 mm. Then tried a thumb pick but could not get what I wanted from that. Have settled on thumb only.

    Good luck.
