Looking for Aguilar cab in northern NY state

    This is probably a long shot but I'll give it a try anyway.

    I live in Toronto Canada, and it takes up to 3 months of lead time to get a GS112 or 212 from any dealer around here!! Since I'll be going to Rochester, NY in the first weekend of August, I thought may be I can just get it myself instead. Does anyone know any place within 1 hour of drive from Rochester that stock Aguilar cabs or a Aguilar dealer that can order the cab for me? Thanks for reading. I checked Aguilar's web site for NY dealer and they both seems to be too far out of my way.

    Probably won't work. I don't think they do shipping to Canada, and I don't think they'll deliver to the hotel in Rochester on a weekend.

    Yup, you're right...no shipping to Canada for Aguilar stuff. Sorry. Closest dealer to Rochester is in Pougkeepsie, and that ain't close.

    Two other suggestions. Call Aguilar directly and tell them your predicament. In NYC they're at 800-304-1875. Don't know if you can access that from Canada or not. Email addy is [email protected]. Their international sales dept. is in San Francisco at 415-831-8200. That's probably Scott Shiraki, or someone else equally helpful I'm sure. If you're a pro, be sure to tell them that.

    Who knows, maybe they can hook you up. If it's possible, the Aguilar cats can get it done!

    Oooops...I said two suggestions, right? :oops:

    Try the cats at the Bass Boutique in NYC at 212-399-3414. They deal with lots of pros, so "unusual" requests are very likely in their realm of possibilities.

    Here is some better advice - check out a EA CxL 112 or Wizzy 112 at Club Bass - much better sounding and you can get one at Club Bass
