    Sorry if this isn't allowed...

We are a well-established Columbia, Missouri band looking to head in a new direction and we need a great bassist to help us get there. We’ve accomplished: touring the Midwest (Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago, Lawrence, KS, etc.), getting a booking agent, having our songs played on radio (nationwide college, local commercial), setting up our own pro-quality studio (currently local phenoms Morning After are recording their CD with us), and playing in front of tons of great bands (including Better Than Ezra (Beyond Records), Greenwheel (Island), and Flick (Columbia)).

We’re looking for someone who is open minded, creative, energetic, and dedicated; preferably aged 21-33 or so. Pro quality gear and ability to sing backup would both be big pluses. Your schedule must be open and flexible, as we like to rehearse at least twice weekly and can play upwards of five gigs a month easily—but note that we are not a working band per se, and we’re not interested in anyone who’s just looking to make some extra cash. We’re a team, and we try to invest in ourselves and the band, not be your summer job.

As musicians, our influences are wide ranging, but lately we’re into Incubus, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Audioslave, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, U2, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc. Basically, rock, funk, blues, jazz, hard rock, alternative, psychedelic—we’re into all that, and it all might factor into our music. Not really into Punk, Rap, Metal, Hardcore, etc.

If you’re looking for that perfect opportunity, or are tired of the band you’re in only playing the local watering hole once a month, and would like to join a band that knows where it wants to go and what it will take to get there, please contact us at dog@blueeyeddog.com to set up an audition. We’re changing our name, and our style, so you might help us decide on that. Thanks!
