I need some cable to connect my yamaha keyboard to my PC sound card . It's an adapter that transfer midi into the joystick input of the sound card.

I don't really need a midi interface yet, just this adapter would do.

    Anybody have one?
If not, where could I find one?

  2. I bought one at Sam Ash for around $25. Exactly as you described, it plugs into the joystick port and gives you MIDI out & in plus a passthrough so you can still plug in your joystick.

PS I connected it to my Yamaha keyboard as well and it worked like a champ. Just remember the MIDI out on the plug goes to the MIDI in on your keys.

i went to the music store today, I asked the guy if he had anything like that in stock. He told me it didn't exist  I didn't argue him salesman are always right.
Anyway, I kept looking for other things in the store and found out that he had the 2 version (usb and joystick) in the store. I bought the joystick version for 25 canadian, about 15$ USD.
