In my opinion the three best are...

    Morpheus
    Kazaa
    WinMx

You can find all of these at www.download.com and plenty of others.

  4. morpheus is at www.musiccity.com. It always has a lot of users on and is usually fast. I would recommend it.

if you are behind a firewall and none of these programs work, then i would recommend Hotline Client.
    www.bigredh.com

its not easy to use, but EVERYTHING is available for download, and it can be used through any firewall.

Since kazaa and morpheus are kind of the exact same thing, they probably have more users than audiogalaxy.i didnt like audiogalaxy much because u had to download that satellite thing, then go on a website to get stuff.they didnt have much of a selection either.

I usually use WinMX. I don't like Morpheus, as I can't ever seem to find what I'm looking for on Morpheus.

I think Napster is done with. With all the free sites that are still out there, no one in their right mind would pay Napster for their service when they go back online. That's just my opinion though.

Morpheus is really good BUT lately it doesnt connect. It ISNT under fire by any government authorities, it is just that there are alot of people on it, and the only way to connect is to download a new, up to date version. The only problem with that is that they havent made a up to date version.
All that aside, Morpheus is really good :D:p

  11. i read an article somewhere claiming that morpheus is having problems, turns out to get on to it you have to download a program that doesn't exist, so i guess one might say they've been having technical difficulties.

I use Kazaa myself, good program, lots of users, lots of music. if it ain't broke...

Morpheus is upgrading servers. The new servers aren't compatible with the old software.

My vote goes for AudioGalaxy or iMesh.

I can't stand Imesh. It's slow, and so hard to find music that isn't popular.I don't listen to much popular music so it took me a few days of searching to find a certain song.It always froze too.

When Napster was free,it was the best program ever.

  14. Yeah, they got some great porn on there. I am so mad it's down right now, I got Debbie Does Dallas 2000 halfway downloaded. :D

But yeah, they have a huge selection of music, videos, jpg and gif files galore, a few misc programs and games, etc. I was able to download some GWAR videos before it took a dump. Only crappy thing you have to watch out for on Morpheus is viruses. I already got one virus from Morph, but thankfully my McAfee software caught it before it did any damage.

The new version of Morpheus is out, its HORRIBLE. Its nearly impossible to get a song to start downloading, and you cant even choose if you want a song, video, or picture for the file your looking for.

Kazaa is just plain bad too, I was reading some reviews about it and it seems that its really easy for someone to get in your computer and mess around, if you have a firewall or not.

Exactly...its pathetic. As soon as you find a song you want and it gts to the transfer window/tab thing it has failed to download and argh it on for young and old. I hate it. They should have kept the old version and just up-graded the server thingie so it would connect...

  17. Another vote for....

    www.audiogalaxy.com :)

It seemed a bit confusing to set up initially but is well worth the hassle.
