Looking for pictures of solid ash body basses....

    I have once again gone back to REALLY liking the look of a solid ash body bass (no laminate tops). Especially when they are able to show nice figuring (clear gloss...)

    I really started gassing for one after seeing the job that F Basses does on an ash body. Fantastic!

    how do they do that? Black dye, then sand the body down and put a clear gloss over it?

    Someone said that was the method. Black dye stays only in the grain areas.

    That is just beautiful.

    Really like the FBass ash. How do they do that? The grain is alot more visible than other
  15. I think the paint is freshly wipped off leaving an enhanced grain.
