I currently play my "large" gigs with GB Shuttle 6.0 and the GB 212T and love the sound quality. I am looking for something small and light (yeah I know you can't get much lighter than the 212T) like a 1-12 cabinet. I looked at the GB 112, but can't seem to pull the trigger on a $639 single speaker cabinet. I have been offered another GB 212T for 1/2 the price of new and am thinking of jumping on it because a) that a darn good price and b) I could always possibly trade, etc. I really feel that I need to get a bass specific cabinet because I have not had good success using a monitor cabinet or similar for small events. What do you think? Buy the 212T and not miss that deal? Stick with what I have? OR just wait an get a 1-12 cabinet based on your input? Thanks!
If the 212T you're talking about is the Neox series one http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=1436&sid=426&cid=96 It's 4 ohms, so having 2 wouldn't do you any good with a shuttle unless you plan on upgraging to a 2 ohm amp and it wouldn't be any smaller/lighter. This might be a better option: http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid=2352&sid=617&cid=96 This is a shuttle series cabinet. Its tiny and sounds nice (for a tiny box).
My plan was not use the two - 212T cabinets together, but have 2 to provide flexibility in transportation, etc.
In that case I'd pick up the 212T at half price. Be a good encentive to get a shuttle max 12.0 down the road.
Does it have to be a 212? I have a EPIFANI PS 112 rated at 300 watts at 8 ohms that"s not getting any love. But I never have sold anything on TB before. Feedback on EBAY is 100% though. PM me if you're interested.
