Looking for some crunch

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Sanitarium, Nov 21, 2005.

  1. Hello all,

I play bass in a punk band that leans on the heavier side, and both guitars use some pretty heavy distortion and my relatively clean bass could use a kind of, crunch tone, to help it fit in more. Any idea on the kind of pedal I would need, what I should buy as a beginner? I'm just looking for something at a low price that will get the job done. Thanks!

If you plug in your parameters, you'll never be able to stop reading all the info you'll get dealing with different opinions on what would help you.

What's your budget? There are a lot of good solid pedals under $100 and under $200.

Check out the distortion mega thread upstairs.

try the older black box bluesbreaker pedal. i get a great driving crunch from it, and it will get you somewhere close to where you want to get i think.

I paid £20 for mine - it was at the back of a music shop covered in dust!!

try it if you find one!!!
