Looking for some help to identify a Modulus

    I'm not an expert when it comes to Modulus basses, but this one doesn't really look like a Q5 to me, or is it? Any thoughts?

    looks like a very early Q5....probabaly late 80's. this means that it dosnt have a truss rod, so the enck is still solid as a rock, but you cant adjust it. looks like it might be passive controls and the pickups are set up closer to the bridge than usual it is definitely an early Q5 though, just not sure how early.
     
  3. Thanks for the input. Is anyone able to describe the neck profile in the earlier models? Thin, thick, or somewhere between that? I assume the scale is 35" aswell.

    Also, is there any way to confirm the year of production?
    Perhaps a serial number, if there is one?

    you'd have to post the serial, which would help if you are trying to date it
