I'm new to DB - so I'm looking to take lessons. Any leads would be appreciated! thanks.

  2. If nobody from the area chirps in, to to Bob Gollihur's site and check out some of the teacher lists. You might find just what you are looking for.

Good luck. The results will be worth the search.

    Thanks for the replies.
Savino, I'm working with a blues band in the area (on electric bass) and have always been interested in the DB. So, this year, when I was in South Jersey on vacation, I stopped by Bob Gollihur's house and ended up taking an Eminence bass home with me. I've been doing a few things with it (I use it in an acoustic set that the band does) but I think I really need to have lessons to achieve proper tone, intonation and technique.

well, that emminence is a different kind of animal, but, using your electric bass technique to play it is not really a good idea. PM me.
