The Fender Jazz bass (or one of its "upgraded" models made by a third party) is the best bass ever created. Period. Discuss for the benefit of those looking for the best bass.
I own several different types of basses and for some reason I always reach for the jazz. The slim neck and insanely low action with no fretbuzz is one of the main reasons I love my Jazz.
Personally I'll take a Ric or a Stingray. I like the vintage Jazz basses better than the new ones. The new ones are not at all bad instuments, I just don't think they are as good as the older ones. Overpriced too. I have had about four or five in my lifetime. The older ones had something the new ones lack but I just can't nail it? :scowl:
Please help me understand. What is the "best?" And "best" for whom? Is Korn the best rock band? Or is Toro the best lawn mower?
Pfffft, the best bass for girls perhaps. How can you even call a ... thing with a toothpick neck like that a bass?????
Like the guy said above What is the best ingredient on a pizza? What is the best flavor of ice cream? What is the best color to dress in? What is the best desert? What is the best bass for what??
