Looking to upgrade

    OK well I guess I'm becoming that guy who keeps posting craigslist links but....

    I currently have this crappy 60w Behringer combo and I'm hoping to upgrade. However I'm not sure what I should be expecting. I'm sure a new head and cabs would be louder, but what should I expect as far as quality? The money I ain't got, so unless one sells dirt cheap, I won't buy a tube amp. I'm gonna do some more reading on amps cause I admittedly don't really know what I'm getting in to. Sorta like when you first started, I'm sure you wanted a new bass even if you didn't know what really made it better. Anyways, what I'm looking at right now is these two. Any thoughts? or big ideas I should really know before I dive in?

    Peavey MkIV is LEGENDARY !!!!!

    rock solid,will last decades. That price is good for the head and cab. Dunno bout the green tho hehe

    The Ampeg is just a cab.

    Mike, we need more info about you (in your profile maybe ?) to have any idea of what your needs are ... any suggestions with no information given are purely personal opinions, and may not suit your situation at all ... I see you are 17, but been playing a while or just starting? playing with others or practicing by yourself? etc, etc ...

    Well I'm mostly gonna be jamming with friends. Who knows we might perform in the future, but it wouldn't be anything huge. I definitely want to upgrade my Behringer combo though
