And yes, it's a real vintage one, too.
uh... I hate you?
Is that something Paul McCartney once used or is that just a vintage bass?
Anyways congrats. I see that there's lack of furniture in the background. Must have cost a lot eh?
I joke, I joke
God, I'm lame
cool, you might want to find proper fitting strings though
Looks better on Sir Paul.
I like the Floyd shirt!
First thing I noticed.
Congrats, but I'll take a cheapo copy anyday. The real ones feel to fragile, especially at their price, I'd be afraid I'd break it.
Yeah, dig the Floyd shirt. I'd get one myself if everyone at school didn't already have one.
So where'd you get that? Beat up an old guy and steal his bass?
Do you have sudden urgues to play lots of triads while singing.
Nice bass, have fun.
Yeah, that's what I've noticed every time I've played one. I go at it for a few minutes, and it feels good, sounds great...then I look around the store and place it veeeery carefully back on the stand, terrified the balsa wood will explode.
Yes Ox..please.. that bass looks rather familar to me..where did you find such a nice bass?
Nice bass? Hardly. It honestly feels like a toy. I think I can honestly say that if Paul had never owned one, these wouldn't be worth much at all today.
By the way, it's not mine. It belongs to my dad's friend, a 250lb Sicilian, who also happens to be the same guy who lent me the Ampeg SB-12 I currently use as a practice amp. He bought it back in 1972 for $75. It's worth a helluva lot more, to say the least. I just get to play on it whenever my family goes over to his house.
Niiiiice. My friend would be even more jealous than me.
He's Beatles obsessed.
A true Beatles fan would play a Rickenbacker 4001S anyway
Good thing I'm not one, then.
Just be careful not to vomit all over the neck.......
What is it about bass players and photography? My guitar players/ singer always manage to look like rockstars in every picture- I always just look like I'm off in my own world...
I thought that the old ones were meant to be a bit unsteady construction wise, but Paul played because they were affordable? I take it this is perhaps something of a novelty? I mean, they're neat toys, but if I was ever gonna get one I'd want to get a cheapo copy!
Looks like a '67 or '68 vintage. Get a set of light guage 045/095 GHS or Roto flats and you'll be set.
very nice bass
You definately need to get some longer strings!
Yeah I always end up looking really pissed, which wouldn't be so bad if we played metal, but we don't. That or like I don't know where I am.
