Loooking for a new combo

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by PanteraFan, Jun 9, 2001.

  1. Hey everyone. I'm on the market for a new combo, after the one I'm currently one is making my strings pop when I touch em.

I'm looking for basically a practice amp, with the small gig in mind. 40W minimum. I have a £200 limit(around...$300?) to spend, but I dunno what to get.

There are Trace Elliot Boxer 60's, but they vary in price a lot. I've seen some Laney 60W's for £190, and a Watson 50W for £150. But, there is this Trace Elliot Commando, with a 10", pushes 65W, wondering how much it is.

The best thing about buying an amp is that I don't have to play around with them first, just gimme the specs and I'll evaluate. Not like basses, which require first hand playing.

    Thanx for any help:D
