how tight should my tunning pegs be? and to tighten them i turn to the right like normal?

  2. I guess I'm not sure what it is you're asking. Do you want to know how to tune a bass, how to screw tuners onto the headstock or how to adjust the play (i.e. slop) on tuners where play is adjustible?

I want to know if the tunning pegs are supposed to be tighted very tight onto the headstock or if it does not matter much.

  4. Yes, they should be screwed tightly to the headstock.

I think Fragcon's refering to the play of the tuners. It's best to adjust the play when you change strings. Adjust the play without strings. Tighten the screws to a point when you have a smooth ,similar and even resistance on each tuning peg. Personaly I prefer a rather tight play that prevents the strings to accidently go out of tune.
