  1. I sold my Yamaha V-Star (motorcycle) today. My wife was pleased. I really loved that bike. It kept me busy in the summertime, but the wife convinced me that at 45 years of age, and with 4 kids, the bike was not "a good idea".

So anyhow, if I'm nasty and irritable in any of my posts for the next few days, this is why.

  2. That sucks. Buy a dirt bike and hurl yourself by/into trees at high speeds, and go flying off jumps. Then you'll convince her the road bike is okay. :D

As a fellow Daddy, I salute you for putting your priorites in order. (Of course I've never owned a motorbike, so I can't imagine the withdrawal you're dealing with :( )

Anyway, kids first, thrills later. . .

    indeed it does...hee hee

i got rid of my last bike, a '98 Triumph Speed triple upon getting stationed in the Pacific Northwest. my wife is making me buy another one when we get back down to King's Bay, GA...and she's going to make me find a used CSA Wildcat or a Confederate Hellcat...i only have two kids, though. on another note, i'm 26 and i _just_ got my first car...bikes are pretty much all i know. i don't know what to tell you X-man...that just blows.
