I recently purchased a used Lull P4 and find that at high volumes, the D string is louder than the other three. I didn't realize this until I gigged with it. I've taken it to Bass NW and Aaron changed the strings and adjusted the pickups but that string is still noticeably louder. It caused problems during the gig because everytime I hit the D, the sound was overwhelming. Does anybody know how I can fix this problem?
  2. Lower the pickup on that side- only a couple of turns.

BTW, this would get more attention in the setup forum!

I personally am of the opinion that you can not properly adjust pickups on a bench. There's too much difference in playing techniques for a one size fits all approach.

If my pickups where set by "the book", my B string would be blasting in comparison to the G.

Take a screwdriver to your next gig and adjust it on stage until you get what you want.
