"Love Your Bass So Much"
Yes I Do.
"So Much You Named It?"
No I didn't.
Mines called Dean
does your bass have a porn name?
Mine have names, but they're more of a joke. I just call them "the red one," etc.
hmmmm...no it does not. would you like to give it one?
you a buckeye fan?
i live in ohio.....but im not much of a sports kinda guy....unless playing bass is a sport
I usually name my basses after ex-g/fs that weren't insane! Its harder than it sounds....
Now the easier question is....
who does NOT name their basses?
I think more people name their basses then they are willing to admit. I have posted the names of mine on a couple of different threads in the past but at least one has gotten an update on its name. Sometimes what you name it and what it names itself are two different things. Yea thats a wacky comment but to all the ones out there that name their cars and stuff you all know, the item will 'tell' you its name somehow some way in the weirdest way usually .... if you get that comment fine, if you don't, don't try to figure it out LOL
My Cowpoke got a name change. Its my 'baby' *and my first Fender* so thats what I called it and then one night I was in a PM discussion about the bass with a member of TB and I typoed the model name and it came out Cowpooky..... no, I have no idea WHAT I was thinking but there it was and of course I sent off the PM and didnt realize my mistake till the quote back in the reply...needless to say, the Cowpoke is now known as....Pooky......and the first thing that comes to mind with that is Garfields teddy bear..not a 'cute' slang for what cows leave on the ground from time to time >_<
Means: I love them, but don't name them.
Ya, I named all 5 I currently have.....
All for silly reasons I guess. From left to right in the picture....
My Squier VM Jazz is "Mojo Jojo"
My 5 String S 101 is named "Big Red"
My SX P bass is named "Thumper" and I have "Maiden America" under the name.
My SX Geddy Clone is named "Lilly"
My Natural Ash SX Jazz is "Blondie"
My Lakland 44-02D is called Thumper
all of my instruments have gotten names eventually. i actually *love* love my basses, so i won't post their names on a public forum.
however, all of my guitars have had the default name of "satan." because... well... guitars are the devil!
I could never get into calling my basses names, kinda seemed odd for me, so they are referred to simply as "P" and "J" -- I'm boring
A quick search found 3 other threads on this topic. There's likely more.
On(overdone)topic: Yes, yes.
Never been a big namer of basses, cars, etc. Seems a little lame.

Wife has named my two current basses.
MIA Deluxe she said growled like Janis Joplin, so I call her Janis.
My 24 Jazz she said had a freakish low tone and she called it Lola.
