Lovetone Meatball

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by superbassman2000, Nov 11, 2005.

  1. so, now that the meatball is back and is selling for 500+ dollars, i have one question. What makes it such a superior envelope filter?
i'm not trying to start a flame thread, but at that price, there has to be something that makes it (apparently) the most amazing filter ever!

The fact that it has about 10 parameters you can mess around with. Each one completly alters the effect. Your imagination is all that will hold you back with the pedal.

I am suggesting to actually read this document written in the 80s by Mike Beigel (Mu-Tron) and Elliott Randal. It explains the parameters involved in the enveloppe follower and the filter section. The Meatball has all those parameters.

    Pros: it is very flexible
    Cons: it is very flexible

I think one needs to know how to use all the parameters without being overwhelm, and knowning what they do is a good start... :smug:
