    Hi all
    I run this http://www.blackstaramps.co.uk/products/ht-408/
Cab with my home guitar rig and I would like to use the 4 x 8 for my bass as well, firstly is this a good idea?
Secondly I currently run a Roland basscube 30 and this new setup must give more punch/low end and volume.
Thirdly, I want to keep it low cost as I'm only a "bedroom hero"
Been playing for 30 years but never gone the head/cab route on bass.

For tone, normally run the Roland in Bassman mode

    Cheers

  2. Not a great idea. You can play bass through it but it will be very easy to hurt the speakers if you aren't careful.

    This.

Guitar speakers (and cabs) aren't built for low end reproduction (not as low as a bass guitar, at least), and it's very likely that your Cube actually puts out more low end.

Keep using your Cube and save up for a better combo or head/cab, if you see the need.

Thought this would be the case, logic told me "noooooooo" but I thought I'd ask.
    Thanks
