lowend guitar pickups on bass

    Hoi hoi, I have a Q about using a guitar pickup as a third p'up on a stereo out bass. It is in principle the same thing diMarzio/Sheehan is doing with the ModelOne and WillPower neck pick-ups but I need a blade type pole for a narrow spaced 5-string. Would an onboard active EQ be useful if that that pick up was routed to a separate out. I know very little about guitar and only so much more about bass. DiMarzio recommends 500k controls could any one help me sort this out? Thanks.

    It could be done (probably HAS been done) but the real question is what the heck are you trying to achieve :confused:

    5 string? Even if the spacing is narrow.. good luck finding a guitar pickup wide enough.
