Selling my early-model LowEnd True Voice preamp. This is the desktop version. It's a really cool design concept and fun to play around with. It gives your bass tone a great tubey warmth and a nice midrange charcter. Comes with two tubes, one of which is hotter than the other as well as a hard plastic case and an XLR cable with an XLR gender changer.

Looking for $275 shipped in the lower 48. Payment by Paypal E-check only. Only trade considered would be a QSC PLX2 1804.

I can't find much on this on the web. I assume it isn't currently sold? Any idea how much it sold for new?

    Thanks.

It is still available. They used to be (and I thought still were) distributed through http://thelowend.net. I just checked that site, and I couldn't find any mention of it. I wonder if it's been discontinued? I'm sorry, but I can't recall what they sold for new, except to say that it was more than what I'm asking. Hope that helps. :meh:

It'd be worth a query to Brian. Now that NAMM's over, he'll probably be easier to find via email or a PM here on TB.

I did a Google site: search on thelowend.net, and here is the True-Voice page, or what's left of it. But, there's more info on the Low End Distribution website. IIRC, the table-top preamps were $499 new. I searched online, and that's what I saw for the retail pricing.

When I stopped by the retail store in fall, 2007, Brian said that he was thinking about redesigning the True-Voice, but it was such a labor-intensive process for him to individually hand-build the preamps that he was thinking of either having someone else build them, or discontinue them.

Based on that conversation, and the dearth of info now on the website, it sure looks like he's suspended building them.
