No trades but will consider cash offers...

If you don't know who Roscoe is, you are living under a rock. :) . Very well known and reputable builder with an impeccable reputation for decades....

Bass with options and case lists new for +/- $4,500.

Will sacrifice for MUCH less (details below)...

USA custom order Roscoe LG 3005 Custom. Ash body, 3-piece neck, Aguilar OBP-3 (3-band. 18v) preamp, Bartolini pickups.

Crazy tight B string. Tight, focused, glass-like notes on the B which is rare (IMHO). 35" scale. Body is ash, amazing burst finish. Plays and sounds as you would expect from an instrument of this caliber and pedigree.

Comes with optional Roscoe hardshell case (molded interior to match body).

Light - weight + just 8.8 lbs. Balances well.

From what I've seen, these tend to fetch +/- $2,500 or more on the used market. This particular one is nearly mint. One very minor ding on the back (about the size of a pencil tip). See pics. Ask questions, etc... Is that Wenge instead of Purpleheart for the neck?! This is a great price and opportunity for someone join the Roscoe club.

I was thinking the same thing as the wood is more porous than I've seen with purpleheart in the past. I also thought that the grain appeared more like wenge. I emailed Roscoe a little while back but haven't heard anything. I was attempting to get exact specs on this particular instrument.

Idk if you've sold the bass yet or not, but I actually used to own this one. I'm positive because of that ding on the back. When I sold it, it had a certificate of authenticity that said the exact specs on it.
From what I remember, it is a solid one piece ash body, maple/wenge/maple neck, with a wenge fingerboard and an aguilar OBP-3 preamp. Also, it had Bartolini singularities in it when I sold it, but I sold the original pickups along with it. Hope that helps.

Oh and the finish is called Cherry Burst.

Thanks so much for the info! Know the neck-woods and pickups are very helpful. The old Barts and the Certificated of Authenticity didn't make it into my hands for whatever reason, but it really doesn't matter much to me. I strongly prefer the Bart singularities over the standard Barts anyway. Thanks again!
