I have a Spector NS 2000 Q5, which I love. I have had a little difficulty with the tone, however. It always sounded great, but there was this little rumble on the low end, that sounded kinda like my amp clipping, and no matter what, I couldn't get rid of it.

Well, it went away when I lowered my bridge pickup! My bass is now tighter and more focused sounding, and way crisper.

I lowered the Neck pickup too, and they sound equal, so I think I did ok.

Amazing how something so simple can fix months of worry!

  2. Exactly! That is why we encourage people to have a go at doing their own setups. ;)
