i all. I got a 5 string fretless bass today and it seems great (I posted pics on basses if anyone wants to see).

However, the action is way too high for my liking, meaning that I have great difficulty fretting any string with my pinky.

How do I go about lowering the action without messing up the intonation?

    Thanks!

Generally speaking...you can't. The more you need to change the action, the more you can expect to have to do intonation as well. Set the action to your liking first, then check/adjust intonation as required.
