Pulling this one down for now.

Most awesome J ever... but I snagged a Kinal 5 and something has to go to pay for it. My Lull 5 is going nowhere I don’t which means... sinister black is on the block. Ouch!

Upgraded with Aguillar split coil J pickups super quiet even in bars with awesome neon. New Chromes. I recently had Mike rewire the pre. It is wired Vol, Vol, Pasive Tone (pull for passive), stacked Bass &Treble.

Some very light player wear but overall in very good condition cosmetically and it is a fantastic player. I will have another at some point.

This is a light bass at 8lbs even on my scale. I have bad shoulders and on a 4” strap it feels like nothing...

As an added bonus, for you Motown fans, I’ll include the fret wrap. If ya don’t dig it... scissors are your friend ;-)

Shipped conus, other destinations please inquire.

Is it a 1 1/2" neck width with the stock 12" radius?

1.5 width. 12”radius sounds right. I don’t know for absolutely certain but it is definitely flatter that say 62 or 75 RI basses I have owned. The neck is incredible... actually the whole damn bass is.

    21 frets
    Bone nut
    Plekked
    Uber sweet feeling J neck...

What year was it built? Does it have the graphite reinforced neck?

@Gil It is a 2012. And yes, it does have the graphite reinforcement rods.

    Thanks

My old bass!! A fantastic player it is indeed and those Aguilar Hot Jazz pups are great. Fun Fact: I bought the instrument from Matt Novesky of Blue October. GLWTS!

Love this one. My first Lull. Convinced me to buy a Lull 5... now I’m playing way more 5 than 4 ...

Oh indeed! Probably the best 4 banger I’ve ever owned. Light, toneful, quiet, incredibly easy player.

I can’t seem to pick up a 4 at this point... I have my old 44-01 and ancient Godin Acoustibass as backup if I need 4... Gottta pay back the battle fund for the Kinal 5 I bought ...

Are there any recording samples of this with the Aguilar setup?

No but maybe soon if things slow down a little. Year end projects at work and holiday party gigs have me hopping...

  19. Body wood & Preamp type? (is it Mike’s standard Bartolini NBTB/NMTB, optional Aguilar OBP, or something farther “out there” by customer request?)

I’m working on “Dr. Better-Half” with the supposition that my M4, M5 & PJ/JJ5-24 (my 40th Birthday “Orange Crush” PJ5-24 also is routed for a 5-string P, thus the extended name) needs a “\m/etal” or “Geddy Lee” (with a White/White Pearl Pickguard and Vinyl Block Inlay stickers, or actual Blocks if Mike can do that post-order) addition to The Family.

I believe Alder, not 100% but given the relatively light weigh it seem a safe bet.
Standard Bart 918, passive tone, stacked B&T. Re-wired Vol, Vol rather than Vol, Blend. Wish I played more 4 string...
