i urge you to take this opportunity to come out of hiding.

i'm curious how many people out there are reading the posts, yet not posting - and why if you're not posting, you're not posting :) . don't feel you really have anything to say? can't write well? dont' want to register? are totally paranoid? feel intimidated by us bass geniuses? or maybe you're famous and if you posted it would be a pain in the arse...

i know flea reads these posts - identify yourself as such dammitt!!!!!!!!

anyone who doesn't post, simply say "i don't post" or "boo" or "hi" and if you feel like adding why you don't - add that too.

This one was fascinating off the website as well.

Note that the hooker boot look is back in in NY.

And I find the clever strategic placement of the
firewood near the fireplace extremely educational
to those unfamiliar with fireplace use.
    :p :D

  10. I tend to stay in lurk mode. Generally, someone else will give good answers/advice and posting would be redundant (or will be after 10 more people post essentially the same answer). It also means not having to walk away from threads when someone decides to engage "peeing contest" mode. I've been on the 'net for over 20 years (yes, there was a net before WorldWideWeb and commercialization thereof) and long ago lost the desire to argue to no end.

This site can be a tremendous resource, there are some great people (some nice, some knowledgeable, some both...) here. It is enjoyable to see people get excited about new gear, plateaus surpassed, et cetera. Some folks are fortunate enough to acquire instruments that are works of art visually as well as aurally, and share their joy here. Being as easily misinterpreted as I seem to be, lurking is my best option (and I'm going back to that now...).

  11. I post once in a while (such as right now), but I tend to lurk most of the time. I'm not that knowledgeable compared to some when it comes to bass stuff, so I use this site to learn more than to teach. I'll ask the odd question, but I'm not a big poster.

  12. I've never posted here before. Why?

    That's probably why :p

Bass giveaways? I didn't know about that.

I don't post too often, but I usually reply to a few things every day

Back in early 2000 and even a little beyond, there were bass giveaways about once every 4-6 months. NUMEROUS people ended up here because of these giveaways, including yours truly :D

Yeah, I don't get why people lurk all the time... It doesn't really make any sense to.

    Edit-Post 1,000! w00t.
