I'd like to install a battery box on the rear of my bass, and I was wondering if any of you aspiring Luthier's could offer some insight on where to find a jig?

There is a luthier's forum. You might have more luck there...

  3. I suppose that you could buy one if it were available but you could make one for pennies and just about an hour of your time.

Use ¾" MDF (medium density fiberboard) and cut a too close fitting pattern with a jigsaw. Then using files and sandpaper, you can perfectly shape the contour.

I think this'll get more responses in 'setup'

    Hambone, how are you doing?
