I used to go to Jack Read for building and modifications. He was Great, but he had to get a Real job. Boston and Cambridge are a hike for me. I've tried numerous locals (A place named after a bird has had my Magnatone for 5 years, fellow in Harvard has had my EUB for 13 months, local chain store has had my Farnell since the Fall for neck work and battery box..) but perhaps Jack set the bar too high for me. Looking for someone for tremolo routing, electronics, general modifications that can outpace a glacier.

    Thanks for your time.

I know you said that boston is a hike, but if you want great service from an outstanding human being who'll give you a realistic time frame, then I suggest Jim Mouradian in Winchester. http://www.mouradianguitar.com/

...and I agree, Jack was great.
