I used to have a Kramer XL7 bass I totally dug, but then I tried experimenting with putting a different neck on it, and ruined the body with my amateur woodworking skills. I loved the sound of the electronics and the "heavy metal" shape of the body, so I want to resurrect this bass somehow. So I'm thinking I should send the body and electronics to a luthier and have them make me a "new Kramer XL7" (with a normal non-aluminum neck).

Who do you recommend for that sort of thing?
