    Anyone own an M bass on this forum? I almost picked one up a couple years ago. Very nice and he is close to me. I just saw he now makes a 24 fret bolt on 4 string jazz style bass. Looks great. Any comments from owners here?

    i too had the pleasure of meeting Jon and playing his basses at NAMM 2006.

    i felt inspired on his instruments.

    Brad Johnson came by the booth while i was there.

    i mentioned talkbass to Jon. hopefully, he'll drop by.

    his work is 10+++.

    i want one too.

    Jon was at the NAMM show in Jan and he sold every bass that was in his booth(about 8 or 9).he even sold a hollow body fretless 5 and a solid body fretless 6 to a very respected bass cabinet maker(I won't give his name out of respect for the buyers privacy).his basses are of top notch quality and he's making one for me as we speak that I think some,will find very interesting to say the least.

    Just pulled the trigger on the 4 string from NAMM. Ive had a 2 octave neck Alembic since hi-school and really miss the 24 frets along with the 4 strings. I retired the bass, fell out of love with the tone but the 2 octave neck is something I still love. I hope this bass fills the void. I'm hoping it has the Jbass tone I like. Well, I'll keep u updated. here is a pic
