main sound Power or Preamp

  1. For those of you that run this setup... Would you say the power or the preamp "makes" most of the sound that comes out of the setup.... basically.... I love the eden metro 2x10 combo sound.... but i want a little more power, a little cheaper and or more upgradeable later....so Eden Navigator +power amp = eden tone? or something totally different?

Secondly, why do you use this setup? I mean, an eden wt800 isnt that much different in price than a quality pre/power setup.

  2. Prearmp voices the sound the most, the difference between SS power amps is hardly noticable, tube power amps add some nice grunt to the tone tho, id have to say i think that with a SS setup the voice is more from the preamp but with an all tube amp you get alot more colouration from the power section

  3. Yes, eden navigator + poweramp = eden tone
