Watching the tube over the last year, it has amazed me how many commercials Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life " has been in. It's predominantly in the cruise line ads, but it has appeared in a few others.

Can you TB'ers think of any other artists(?) that have had that kind of luck/success with one song...rather than just airplay?

Bob Seger's "Like a Rock." The whole time I was growing up, this was all I heard for Chevy. Granted, it was for one product, but good God, how many times did I hear that song!

It wasn't one song, but I think it's pretty crazy that Moby sold every song off of his "Play" album. That was probably pretty smart, considereing he probably made MUCH more off of that, than off of album sales.

Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" has been plundered for loads of TV adverts that I've seen.
