I've lived 5 decades and this is my first time making lasagna. Hope it comes out! It's smelling pretty good.
Do NOT use jarred sauce, or we may have to hunt you down. I spent two hours and a full pot of coffee sweating my grandmother's recipe from her when I was young - I haven't even revealed it to my wife. Maybe one day to my son, if he is lucky.
Sure looks good! How's it taste? (If you are eating with anyone else, do NOT stop dinner conversation to do a TB review.)
I love multi-layer Lasagne... Big rectangular glass pan, pre-boil noodles to speed total cook time... place a pizza pan/etc underneath it so the bottom layer of noodles won't burn, thin layer of sauce in bottom of pan, noodles, ricotta, noodles, pepperoni & salami, thin layer of sauce, & 7-cheese blend noodles, ricotta, noodles, italian sausage, thick layer of sauce, & LOTSA 7-cheese Italian Blend on top!!
Would love to have y'all here to share it. It was GREAT. Still is - plenty left over. Wife and I loved it. 3 layers. Just effin' yummy.
You used pre-shredded cheese. Don't do that again. Shredding it yourself gives you a better cheese experience, and it melts much more evenly. -Mike
I hate you. I have not had GOOD lasagna for years. If you mail (overnight) some to me, I will no longer hate you.
