This thing has really got me going. But there is no way I can buy it right now... Mannn... Actually I know that I have some cashola coming in... But I just don't know when. That's why this really bugs me. I might be able to. Anyways, without further ado... Here is what I am digging right now:
Wouldnt something like that be easy for you to find in CA? You could always just buy when when your expected money comes in.
If I am correct MIJ fretlesses aren't made any more, so it may not be easy to find one anywhere. I have been wanting one of those for a while now! Buy it! Buy it!
Sometimes... It's a nice MIJ though, so they are not as common as I would like. Also, there is this little problem with wanting instant gratification.
Guys, help me out here..... How can you tell it's MIJ v MIM from the pictures. I can't tell unless I'm reading the headstock. Are there some physical differences that make it possible to tell the difference? Peace, James btw Gabu, it is a nice one. Hope you find a way to grab it.
I see them once in a while but not as often as the regular fender's appear on e-bay. I myself am browsing for a new bass and live on e-bay for the perfect "buy-it-now" auction. I am either going for a re-issue model or a vintage jazz, though a p-bass mite do the trick. I guess it comes down to what bass catches my finicky eye first
Gabu-i understand how you feel to a certain extent. I've been gassin' for an Essex Fretless to see if i like it but i keep on thinking that i won't get any good out of it since i have my Ray5. The main reason that i could come up with as a plus for gettin one is that it wouldn't be dropped $1300+ on a Fretless Ray5 that i don't know if i will like [the fretless part there is]. Also-my goal of getting a DB by Christmas doesn't help much That's all
I believe that some MIM have fretlines & some don't, depending on the year, but I'm not 100% sure. From these pictures, the copper strip going from the bridge p/u to the bridge is a dead give away.
