It's not what you think.:D I just got back from a 6 week long road trip around America. Denver, L.A., San Fransisco (& the Mesa/Boogie factory), Seattle, Chicago, NYC, D.C., Atlanta, New Orleans.... and all the obligatory nature sights in between. So needless to say my but hurts.

After seeing what alot of places have to offer, I've decided to move to San Fransisco. Problem is, I don't know anything about it! Any bay area TB'ers have any suggestions as where to live, what rents are like (I only need a place for my gear and to sleep), etc.? I would really appreciate any help fellow TB'ers could offer before I arrive and after. Shucks, I'll be your best friend! I'll give you my Jose Canseco rookie card! Shoot, I might even let you play with my Steinberger!

Sorry about the double post thing - I deleted it. Seems the server is acting a bit screwy and I double clicked something.

As for why I want to move to S.F.... why not? It seems like a cool place, I've lived in the south my whole life, and I want a change of scenery. I was planning a move to England, but the British immigration office denied my request (after 3 months of planning!! Thank you Mr. Bush & Mr. Blair). I am also going to try to get a job with Mesa/Boogie, and I figured I would have a better chance if I lived remotely close.

If all goes well I should be in Cali in a week or two. And I am not gay! (Not that there is anything wrong with that.)

SF is a really cool city. It'd probably be my second choice on where to live in the US (behind Seattle.)

You might want to throw a pm at Jazzbo, Blackbird, and Lisa Weiss. They are the only bay area TBers i can think of at this time.

Look at the marina district. People pay $1,000,000+ to live on landfill.

I didn't say which bay. :ninja:

My bad, I forget who I'm confusing lisa with...

Edit: I remember there being a 3-person SF get together with jazzbo and BB, but i forget the third person.

  13. hey tri, what was their reasoning for not letting you emigrate to england? Have you tried contacting the embassy?

Anyways, best of luck in your moving plans :bassist:

Well, Britain has very strict immigration laws, and they seem to only let people in who are independantly wealthy. I was filing under thier Ancestral Heritage Code, being that everbody in my family from my dad back was born there. They still wouldn't let me in because I was not born in a Commonwealth state. Not to mention increased tensions due to terrorists.

I guess San Fransisco will have to do.
