Mantic Hulk

Killer pedal! I'm glad to see Mantic is still offering it... Im especially glad that they kept the dry and wet out.

 

i think i want this.
have been looking for a good sub pedal other than meatbox.
and since density hulk is a bit larger than what i want, this may well be it.

 

The Mantic guys are class.

 

I just received this and have been trying it out. It keeps making a pretty audible popping sound whenever I turn it on or off...is this normal? I've been troubleshooting by moving it around in the pedal chain and a few other things but no change. Anyone else's pop? Is there anything that can be done to eliminate it?

 

I’ve gotten this pop before on some true bypass pedals. I don’t think there’s a way to fix it. I’ve read before that if you click it a few times once powered it should eventually go away, but you have to do it each time it’s power cycled. But that process never worked for me on those pedals.

That being said, I’d take a video of it and send it to Mantic to see if it’s normal or not.

Hopefully it’s not normal and they can fix it. That’s very off putting, especially since this pedal is on my shortlist of pedals to get.

I use a cusack pedal tamer for pedals like this . Or put them in a loop and leave it on.
