Mantic Thug?

    What the heck does it do? Like, I've watched Juan Alderete'a video and read mantic's description and it's not particularly clear.

    Juan said it was kind of like the fx10, which that's pretty cool I guess but my fx10 cost $50 and the thug is $140, plus the fx10 can also boost treble.

    Or is it a variant on the density hulk? Like, is the muscle like the mix knob with preset 30 and 60 hz settings? That would be pretty cool.

    It looks to me like a clean and low freq boost, its designed to be run at the end of the signal chain to add some booty after a pedal that robs low end. Might work nice after some of the old DOD pedals that sound great but suck all the low end out of your tone, like the 440 or 250. Dunno if it would work as a discrete pre but would be curious to try one out. Seems similar to the Fulltone Fat Boost which is available in abundance for around $50 used.
